Meepers respects the intellectual property rights of recipe creators, publishers, and everyone else — and we ask the people who use Meepers to do the same. This page explains how content works in the app and how to report material you believe infringes your copyright.

How recipes work in Meepers

Meepers is a personal recipe organizer — a digital recipe box. When you import a recipe from a website, a photo, or a social post, it is saved to your own private collection for your personal use, much like copying a recipe into a notes app or printing it for a binder at home.
Imported recipes keep a link back to their original source, and the app shows that source so the original creator is credited and easy to find.
Sharing features (share links, friends, and households) only make a recipe visible to the people you choose. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to share what you share.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on one's behalf, and you believe content available through Meepers infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our copyright agent at meepers.app@gmail.com that includes all of the following:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — for example, the recipe title and a screenshot, a share link, or where it appears in the app.
Your contact information: name, mailing address, email, and phone number.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

We will remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we may notify the user who added it.

Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address including: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error; and your contact information and consent to the jurisdiction of your local courts.

Repeat infringers

We remove infringing material and, in appropriate cases, suspend or terminate the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.
